Supervision

Clinical supervision is the corner stone of good therapeutic practice. Wherever you are on your journey as a therapist, be it as a new trainee or as an experienced practitioner, I offer a safe, collaborative space to explore the client work. Supervision aims to enhance, deepen and progress the therapeutic work for the client who is not in the room, but also for you, the therapist.

I am qualified in counselling psychology which  draws on psychotherapy, CBT and humanistic theory. I am trained as an  integrative supervisor.

While working as a therapist is rewarding, it is also challenging and lonely at times. Supervision is about supporting you in the role, keeping the passion for the work alive, and providing a nonjudgmental space to look at all the elements of the relationship.

SCHOOL COUNSELLOR SUPERVISION

Along with adult work, I have worked in secondary schools since 2007. I  understand the unique role that school counsellors play in a young person's life. I am also aware of the many challenges that arise in this role, ranging from the institutional pressures you have to bear, understanding the developmental changes going on for young people, their impulsive nature, and the risks present in this age group. I also have extensive knowledge and experience of safeguarding, which is vital in this work.

For supervision of adult work or specialised school counsellor work, sessions are 60 minutes, at a frequency that suits your practice.
