Therapy is a very personal journey and the relationship with your therapist has to feel comfortable and safe. Finding the right person to wok with is key.  It is generally understood in the field of therapy that the quality of the  therapeutic relationship, not the theory practiced, is what makes therapy successful for the individual.

People tend to seek therapy when the coping mechanisms they use no longer feel like they are working and life feels challenging.  I work with people who are experiencing or have experienced stress, unhappiness, depression, abuse, anxiety, anger, unresolved trauma, or are generally just wanting life to make more sense.

As a therapist I understand that the past and our childhood experiences greatly impact who we are today. The past can make life feel complicated.  Our childhood relationships, or lack of them, contain the most significant experiences that shape  us, and they affect us both positively and negatively.  Families also influence every aspect of ourselves from the moment we are born and enter the family system to our last moment of life. They define us and teach us.  Therapy provides a safe space for looking back on life and and allows us to see ourselves and our motivations with more clarity.

If you are considering working with me, I offer a 30 minute introduction session, to talk through your current situation and what you want from the work. This allows us to see if we feel we can work with each other.

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes, weekly.
